Shane McMahon’s son, Declan McMahon, is pushing for his father to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame following Stephanie McMahon’s announcement.
At WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, fans got a surprise when The Undertaker appeared at ringside while Stephanie McMahon watched. The two stars reminisced about their past moments in WWE, both on and off stage.
The Undertaker then announced that Stephanie McMahon will join the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class. Stephanie clearly got emotional as she shared a hug with The Deadman and she was also greeted by WWE President Nick Khan.
While the announcement was a major moment for the McMahon family, Declan quickly grabbed attention online. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter to advocate for his father’s induction, highlighting Shane’s contributions to WWE.
He wrote, “Put Shane McMahon in the Hall of Fame.” His tweet also caught the attention of WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who supported him by writing, “Hell yeah! I want to induct him!!!” In another post, Henry praised Declan for being a good son, looking out for his father. Henry wrote, “That is being a good son. Looking out for your father. And wanting his accomplishments awarded.”
Triple H on Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Hall of Fame announcement: “She had no idea”
Speaking at the WWE Wrestlepalooza post-show press conference, Triple H joked that he might need a lawyer because Stephanie McMahon was not happy with him. “Anybody got a good lawyer? I’m in trouble. Steph is not happy with me, she had no idea and I think she thought Taker was coming out there it’s her birthday in four days. I think she thought Taker was coming out there to embarrass her and sing happy birthday to her.”
“She had no clue right up until he said, ‘Induct.’ You know the truth is, she’s one of the most iconic performers of an era, the Attitude Era, and moving forward from there. She was a powerful character for a lot of young women around the world, of a young powerful executive and an incredible performer.”
