Odyssey Jones has drawn WWE into his ongoing legal battle over domestic abuse allegations.
Jones, whose real name is Omari Palmer, was primed for big things before his sudden release. He was reportedly set to replace Big E as The New Day’s third member, but allegations of domestic abuse from his former partner, Meileth Nunez, led WWE to cut ties with him.
In March, Jones filed a defamation lawsuit against Nunez, claiming her alleged false statements were directly responsible for his WWE release. Nunez later announced her intention to file counterclaims for harassment and seek an order of protection against the former WWE star.
Major update in Odyssey Jones’ lawsuit against former partner
According to Ringside News, there has been a major update in the Odyssey Jones defamation lawsuit. His legal team is now seeking several internal WWE documents concerning his employment, termination, and the company’s internal response to Nunez’s allegations.
“After filing a defamation lawsuit over abuse allegations that contributed to his WWE release in late 2023, Palmer is now shifting from defense to offense. In a subpoena filed on September 18, 2025, his legal team demanded WWE hand over a massive trove of internal records—and the list of what they want is as aggressive as it gets,” according to the report.
Palmer’s request includes termination records, evidence of allegations by Nunez, and files related to WWE’s investigation into the matter. The subpoena also demands that these records be produced “no later than September 30, 2025,” at the offices of Palmer’s legal team.
As of this writing, there is no update on whether WWE has complied with the demands of Jones’ legal team. WrestleZone will provide the latest information on the case as it becomes available.
