D-Von Dudley claims Logan Paul would not have survived in WWE in a different era.
During an exclusive interview with VideoGamer, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley was asked how he feels about Logan Paul. Dudley replied by hailing Paul as a true athlete and commended him for quickly establishing himself in the pro-wrestling business.
“The stuff I’ve seen, I think he’s a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him. Someone who had no experience in doing what we do here, and he’s picked it up, he’s absorbed it like a sponge. My hat goes off to him.”
However, when asked if someone like Logan Paul would’ve thrived during the WCW era, D-Von Dudley replied that the old-school guys would’ve given him a hard time.
“No. I say that respectfully because a lot of these old school guys would not have liked that. They would’ve been trying to mess with him. Trying to get him to crack, and that was the way the business was back then. They weren’t letting outside people into our locker room at that. There was always a problem. This generation, totally different.”
D-Von Dudley Said He Would’ve Loved To See A Match Between Bianca Belair And Madusa
Speaking in the same interview, D-Von Dudley talked about which wrestlers from the old days would thrive in the current era.
The Hall of Famer claimed Randy Orton and The Usos as wrestlers who proved they can thrive in today’s era of wrestling. He also claimed that he would’ve loved to see old-school wrestlers like Jaqueline and Madusa take on former WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
“A lot of the guys today, like Jimmy and Jey Uso. Randy already proved that he could. So many people. Bianca Belair, I would’ve loved to have seen her face Jackie Moore (Jaqueline) or Medusa. I would’ve loved to have seen that.”
