Former WWE Superstar Hilariously Mistaken For Joe Hendry

Say his name and he appears — except this time, Joe Hendry didn’t show up.

Joe Hendry’s rise to fame is worth studying. From working small venues to facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania, the Scotsman has made huge strides in the business. Hendry is still under contract with TNA but is being integrated more and more into WWE programming each week.

One of the things that makes Joe Hendry so interesting is that he seems to pop up every time someone says his name. That wasn’t the case for one fan who thought they spotted Hendry on a flight. Only to discover it was former WWE Superstar Zack Gowen instead.

Taking to Facebook, Zack Gowen shared that a fan hilariously mistook him for Joe Hendry, presumably because of their similar facial features. Fans can check out the full post below:

“Took a picture with a fan yesterday who thought I was Joe Hendry. Told him I wasn’t but I used to be a big pro wrestling superstar he said “yeah right” then walked off ? chat am I cooked ?,” he wrote.

Joe Hendry appeared on WWE NXT this week

Joe Hendry made a brief cameo on the October 28 NXT broadcast.

During a backstage segment with Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, and Ethan Page, Thea Hail walked by singing Hendry’s theme song — prompting Joe to pop up from a garbage can because Thea had said his name.

After performing his signature clap, Hendry offered advice for Green and Page ahead of their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship match against La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana at Lucha Libre AAA’s November 2 event.
