Joe Hendry Comments on Recent WWE TV Absence

Joe Hendry has finally explained the reason behind his absence from WWE TV, and according to him, Austin Theory is to blame.

Hendry has not appeared on WWE TV since the May 25, 2026 episode of RAW. The former TNA World Champion had become a popular part of WWE programming thanks to his charisma, catchy songs, and entertaining segments. However, his run was suddenly interrupted after a brutal attack by Austin Theory.

On that episode of RAW, Hendry was performing one of his signature parody songs, “Fire Logan Paul.” The crowd enjoyed the performance. However, it caught the attention of Logan Paul’s allies, which spelled trouble for Hendry.

Shortly after, Austin Theory rushed to the ring and attacked Hendry. Acting on orders from Logan Paul and Paul Heyman, Theory blindsided him with a steel chair. The assault continued until Hendry was left laid out in the ring, forcing WWE officials to come out and check on him.

The attack marked Hendry’s last appearance on RAW and provided a storyline reason for his absence.

Now, Hendry has given an update while speaking with the Toronto Sun. During the interview, he was introduced as someone expected to appear on RAW and WWE’s upcoming UK tour. Hendry corrected that assumption and explained that he is still recovering from the injuries caused by Theory’s attack.

“I have to say, you said I’d be part of the UK tour, but right now I am healing up, my friend. I was attacked by Austin Theory, so you know, it is what it is,” Hendry said.

The timing has been unfortunate for Hendry. Before the attack, he was steadily gaining momentum with WWE fans. His crossover success from TNA and NXT helped him quickly connect with audiences, and his catchphrase, entrance, and musical segments were becoming increasingly popular. It made his sudden disappearance even more noticeable.

Right now, there is no official date for Hendry’s return.
