Chelsea Green has been trying to get an NXT star called up to the WWE main roster.
Speaking on the Gabby AF podcast, inaugural Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green revealed that she’s trying to get NXT star Ethan Page called up to the main roster. She’s been working with Ethan Page in NXT for a while and claims she “can’t unsee” the two of them working together on the main roster.
“It has been way better than I could have ever imagined and I have been so stuck on trying to get him to the main roster because I can’t unsee this duo and this group now with the girls too.
“I think there’s something special about seeing two totally different performers come together and manage to work so in sync and so in unison. I just never thought that would happen because I had already done that with my husband. It was harder with my husband than it is with Ethan, because you have to go home with your husband every night, you have to speak to each other the way you would at home and you have to relearn the way you speak to each other at work.
“It’s been a really really cool working and learning experience and its really opened up WWE’s eyes to like ‘oh we can do this, they can work together.’” [H/T WrestleTalk]
Speaking in the same interview, Chelsea Green also provided an update on her contract status with WWE.
Chelsea Green Said John Cena Is Giving Her Crucial Advice
During an interview with Deanna Barnert of Woman’s World, Chelsea Green revealed that John Cena has been helping her explore opportunities outside WWE.
“I’ve been auditioning for role after role, and trying to dabble in the hosting space as well,” she said. “I’m trying to start at the bottom and not cut corners. I want to do it the right way and gain respect within film and TV—not get there because I had it handed to me on a WWE silver platter.
“My husband and I go on double dates with John and Shay, every couple months, and the knowledge that comes out of him is incredible. He totally has my back and if I just continue to touch base with him, I’ll continue to get those little bits of information and advice that are so crucial when you’re on this journey of trying to figure out what you want to do next.”
