WWE Talent Receives Second Ring Name in a Matter of Weeks As Company Files Trademark

WWE has once again changed the ring name of one of its newest recruits. Former NIL athlete Meghan Walker will now compete under a second ring name before making her official NXT TV debut.

Walker was recently introduced as Kylee Quinn, and WWE even filed a trademark for that name. She also updated her social media to match. But just a few weeks later, the company has dropped that name and given her a new one.

This isn’t unusual for WWE. The company often tweaks a wrestler’s name before they appear on TV to make sure it’s unique, easy to market, and legally protected.

Meghan Walker is now Alix Brooks

Earlier this year, Meghan Walker graduated from WWE’s NIL program and joined the Performance Center as a full-time trainee. Like many recruits, she was expected to get a new ring name before appearing regularly on WWE shows.

At first, that name was Kylee Quinn. Now, Walker has updated all of her social media profiles to Alix Brooks, confirming that WWE has moved on from the Kylee Quinn name before it was ever used on TV.

When the Kylee Quinn name was first revealed, many fans pointed out that it sounded very similar to adult film actress Kylie Quinn. Even though the spellings differed, some believe WWE decided to avoid any possible confusion by changing the name.

The company hasn’t explained why the change was made, but it now appears that Alix Brooks will be her official WWE ring name. The company made the change official by filing a trademark for “Alix Brooks” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 19 (via Fightful Select).

Like most WWE trademarks, the filing covers wrestling and entertainment services. It includes live events, TV, radio, streaming, online content, fan clubs, newsletters, blogs, and other WWE-related media.

Even though she hasn’t officially debuted on NXT TV yet, Walker has recently appeared at Evolve, where she was introduced to the crowd by NXT star Kale Dixon. However, she wasn’t given any ring name during that appearance.

Walker also wrestled in a dark match before last week’s NXT tapings at the WWE Performance Center. She faced Skyler Rae but came up short.
