The AEW Dynamite special, Blood and Guts, is just a couple of weeks away, and we now have more information regarding this special event.
AEW’s annual Blood and Guts event began back in 2021. While the event typically takes place in the summer, this year’s event takes place later this month, on November 12. This will be the first-ever event to feature two Blood and Guts matches. With one for the men and one for the women. This will be the first time the women have had a chance to participate in this match.
With two matches of this magnitude on one show, it would be hard to contain this event in just two hours. Luckily, we won’t have to worry about that.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), an AEW source has indicated that this will be an expanded episode of Dynamite. With TSN in Canada already listing the November 12 episode of Dynamite as a 2 and a half hour event.
The women’s Blood and Guts participants were announced over the weekend on Collision. This match will have 12 participants instead of the 10 we’ll see from the men on the same event.
Sapp confirms that the injury to Penelope Ford did result in changes to the company’s original plans for the match. It was also implied to him that stacking the talent in the women’s match was purposely done to add additional buzz to the show.

- Women’s Blood and Guts match: Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Toni Storm, and Kris Statlander vs. Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Moné
- Men’s Blood and Guts match: The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Mark Briscoe), Roderick Strong, and Darby Allin vs. Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and PAC)
