Triple H Highlights What Skills Are Needed To Excel In WWE

Triple H explains what skills are needed to make it in WWE.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque succeeded Vince McMahon as WWE’s head booker following the billionaire’s unceremonious exit from the company. His main role is to oversee the creative direction — including storylines, angles, and feuds. However, Levesque is also responsible for identifying and molding the next generation of athletes into superstars.

WWE CCO Triple H recently appeared on the All-In Podcast. When asked what exactly it takes to succeed in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Hunter explained that it comes down to charisma and the ability to connect with the WWE Universe.

“Well, it’s a difficult thing,” he said. “One of my tasks now in my job is finding that next generation of stars, right? We have a robust program through college athletics. Through an NIL program, and through a lot of different avenues where we find talent. But the key to it really comes down to charisma and your innate ability to connect with people.”

Triple H on what makes WWE remarkable

“It’s one of the things about WWE that I think is remarkable — it’s a combination of everything: the athleticism, the showmanship, the charisma you have to have, and the media skills that we teach from day one when you come through the door.

“When you leave WWE, whether you’ve been there for a long time or even if you’ve had any level of success, you are so well-suited to do just about anything in life. I truly feel that for a lot of people, success can sometimes be less about all the things you know or how good you are at them, and more about having the charisma to get people to listen to you.”
