Tuesday night’s episode of NXT featured a Championship Celebration for Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions.
Page and Green ranted about how amazing they are before almost summoning Joe Hendry by saying his name. Hendry ultimately appeared on stage and called for a shot at the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship. Page and Green laughed, noting that Hendry would need a partner.
Hendry introduced Thea Hail as his partner, and she popped out of the cake in the ring and hit Green and Alba Fyre in the face with pies. Hendry then ran down and fought Page before hitting him with a pie to end the show.
WWE cameras caught up with Page and Green backstage, and they both expressed their anger about the segment, with a hilarious double entendre that Green caught too late.
“Disgusting! Disgusting behavior! We were disrespected in Monterrey, and we were disrespected tonight! I have never been creamed on like this before,” Green said.
“Wait…” she said, as she realized her mistake.
“Neither have I,” Page said. “Neither have I. I wanted to cut the cake and eat it with a fork. This is BS!”
