Miranda Alize has reacted to the controversy surrounding her and Nixon Newell’s walkout incident in AEW.
After Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell walked out of the AEW Collision tapings on November 8, reports stated that they did so after refusing to lose to TayJay at the event. However, a recent report from Fightful (via Fightful Select) clarified that they left about an hour before the show after AEW officials had denied their request to extend the match beyond the planned three minutes.
Amid the controversy, Miranda Alize has reacted to the situation on her Instagram stories. She wrote:
“The moment you start standing up for yourself, everything shifts. Suddenly you’re the problem – not because you’ve changed, but because you’re no longer letting them take advantage of you. They’ll paint you as the villain, but that’s okay because you’re finally choosing yourself. This is where your freedom begins.”

Miranda Alize And Nixon Newell Recently Commented On The Controversy
Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell addressed the controversy surrounding their walkout incident in the latter’s Twitch stream.
Alize and Newell claimed that there was no drama or tension between them and AEW and that they didn’t compete in the match because they felt it wouldn’t make anyone look good.
“It won’t make anyone look good. What we want to do as wrestlers is make us all look good. We said, ‘We really appreciate it.’ We were polite, we were respectful, we called our producer over and said, ‘I don’t think three minutes is going to benefit either of us. Not just us, but anyone in the tag team. We want what’s best for everyone.
“Respectfully, we deserve this to go to someone it can benefit.’ It went to the other two females, fair to them. There was never bad blood. We spoke to everyone involved. It wasn’t a, ‘Fuck you, we’re leaving.’ We spoke to a lot of people about this and they were all in agreement that three minutes wasn’t going to do good for anyone. A lot of people were in agreement with us. The producer said, ‘No worries,” Newell said.
Miranda Alize chimed in, saying, “‘We’ll go relay this information to who it needs to be relayed to.’ They did that, then told us we are free to go home, so we went home.” [H/T: Fightful]
Despite claiming there was no tension between them and AEW, Mirada Alize’s Instagram story paints a different picture.
