How are the stars of AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts doing after the carnage?
AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts lived up to its name once again as several performers left their respective matches covered in blood. Such is the case with Skye Blue, who was launched into the steel cage chains by Willow Nightingale early on in the Women’s Blood and Guts bout. Still, Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Blue is “okay” coming out of the 46-minute battle.
Elsewhere in its report, Fightful noted that former AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter may have chipped some of her teeth during her outing in the grueling match. Hayter is said to overall be a bit banged up, but still “as bad ass as you would expect.” Hayter was notably thrown out of the cage by Mercedes Mone, then speared on the floor by Thekla.
Mone, Thekla, and Blue picked up the win alongside Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Julia Hart after Toni Storm verbally surrendered to save Mina Shirakawa from being further lashed by a championship belt at Bayne’s hands. Blue, Hart, and Thekla initially held Storm back to prevent her from interfering.
Regarding the Falls Count Anywhere match between “Hangman” Adam Page and Powerhouse Hobbs, both men reportedly emerged from it sore, though without serious injury. Page defeated Hobbs by sending him crashing through an electrical table.
As of now, there are no updates on the competitors involved in the Men’s Blood and Guts match. Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly bested The Death Riders after Moxley tapped out to O’Reilly’s ankle lock.
