Rey Mysterio paid a subtle tribute to John Cena on the latest episode of WWE RAW.
This week’s edition of WWE RAW from Madison Square Garden featured John Cena’s final appearance as a wrestler on WWE’s flagship weekly show. The Intercontinental Champion teamed up with Rey Mysterio and Sheamus to defeat The Judgment Day in the opening match of the event, and the legendary luchador showed his respect to the 17-time WWE Champion in his own way.
Rey Mysterio had Cena’s ‘You Can’t See Me’ logo on his tights near the right hip. The WWE Hall of Famer proudly wore the attire to pay his tribute to Cena as he teamed up with the latter and Sheamus to defeat his son Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk also paid his tribute to John Cena after WWE RAW went off air.
John Cena’s Survivor Series Match Is Set
John Cena kicked off WWE RAW for the final time this week and addressed the fans before Dominik Mysterio interrupted him. Cena defeated Mysterio last week in his hometown of Boston to win the Intercontinental Championship, and the former champion came out to demand a rematch.
Cena was ready to fight him then and there, but Dominik Mysterio said the match would take place in his hometown of San Diego, California, at Survivor Series: WarGames. Cena accepted the challenge, and WWE has made the rematch official.
After Survivor Series: WarGames, John Cena will end his legendary in-ring career at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C., on December 13. He will take on the winner of the ongoing Last Time is Now Tournament. Cena is also expected to headline the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame after his retirement.
