Rikishi has opened up about his growing frustration with how expensive WWE events have become.
Speaking on his Fatu Off The Top podcast, Rikishi reflected on what he learned about the wrestling business throughout 2025. He acknowledged that the industry now has a whole new different vibe and praised WWE for taking better care of its talent.
However, Rikishi made it clear that while things may be better behind the scenes, the experience for fans especially when it comes to ticket prices has become far more difficult. “As far as I feel the paydays and how the company is structured now… I am not too sure about the ticket prices with TKO.”
“There are a lot of loopholes you have to go through… even though I am not with the company full time, but I am still in the legends contract with the WWE.” Despite being on a WWE Legends contract, Rikishi said complimentary tickets are no longer guaranteed.
“So you would think that family members and friends, close friends, to get comp tickets. You still have those, but there is no comp ticket.”
While discounts may still exist, Rikishi believes they don’t help much because of how high ticket prices have climbed. “I could probably try to get like a discounted, but I don’t know what is discount nowadays,” Rikishi said.
“Like $1,000 ticket, that is still for a family of five, a man working nine to five through the whole week, and the whole family loves wrestling. It is very difficult to be able to take a family to events where I know back in the day for us, tickets were like $25, $50.”
“Front row seats were $75 or something like that. But now for that? You really got to hit the lottery. They even sit up in the nosebleeds.” He also addressed fans who often complain to him directly about ticket prices, making it clear that the issue is out of his hands. “I hear you guys’ concerns,” Rikishi said. “But I am not the guy.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]
