Raven is infamously on the cover of one of the most beloved wrestling video games of all time, and now he’s explained how he inexplicably made the cover.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet recently, the topic of Raven’s inclusion on the 1998 game WCW/nWo Revenge came up. The cover features major stars like Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Goldberg, but also features Raven, which has always made fans curious. According to the star, the reason for that is due to one of the game’s creators.
“Yes. The boys wanted to know too, because it’s [Kevin] Nash, Goldberg, and [Hulk] Hogan. And then me,” joked Raven. “Jericho and Konnan, my buddies, they’re like, ‘Who’d you blow to get on the cover?’ And I’m like, ‘Nobody.’ I [had] no idea how I got on there. It turned out, I found out a year later that the guy who invented the game, I was his favorite wrestler, so he put me on the cover.”
Raven went on to joke that, while it was nice being featured on the cover, he isn’t a big fan of video games. While he did play the game, he didn’t get to appreciate it too much.
“I don’t play video games so it wasn’t that big a deal. But it was still cool though,” said Raven. “I actually went out and bought a player to play it. I played it once and I was like, ah I don’t want to play this anymore.”
