MJF has some strong opinions on a recent update that Disney made at one of their most iconic parks.
During a recent appearance on the WDW News Today podcast, MJF brought up his love of theme parks. Specifically, one of its attractions is at its Animal Kingdom park. The 3D film attraction It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, which was based on the 1998 film A Bug’s Life, is now based on the Zootopia franchise. The attraction, now titled Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, has a lot of fans, but MJF isn’t one of them.
“I thought about going to Animal Kingdom specifically because, obviously, It’s Tough to Be a Bug has been changed,” said MJF. “That was one of my favorite things, if not, to be honest, probably my favorite thing in all of Animal Kingdom. Just because it made people miserable. Oh, my God, it was fantastic. And then you watch people jump out of their chairs when they get stung in the back. It was great. Now, that gag’s gone, which is an act of terrorism, in my humble opinion.”
MJF went on to criticize the new show, saying it was “absolutely horrible.” According to MJF, who is a self-professed theme park junkie, more could have been done.
“And I watched the show, and it’s horrible. It’s absolutely horrible,” MJF said. “There’s nothing good about it. Nothing makes sense. At first, they’re telling you, we’re watching this live, but you’re also a part of the broadcast, but then the way they shoot it, you’re not live, and you’re not a part of the broadcast. Very weird.”
