WWE’s Seth Rollins Suggests Way for Bill Belichick To Make Pro Football Hall of Fame After Snub During Super Bowl Week

Seth Rollins offered a creative take on Bill Belichick’s Pro Football Hall of Fame snub during Super Bowl week, blending sports commentary with WWE-style storytelling.

The comments came as debate continued around Belichick’s absence from the 2026 Hall of Fame class despite being eligible for the first time.

Rollins shared his thoughts during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, where he discussed the controversy surrounding Bill Belichick.

Rather than focusing on voting mechanics, Rollins framed the situation as an opportunity for a dramatic reveal. The WWE star suggested that the snub could be part of a larger plan to build suspense.

According to Seth Rollins, the NFL could turn the situation into a memorable moment by borrowing from professional wrestling presentation.

He joked that the Hall of Fame ceremony should save Belichick for last, creating the impression that he missed out again before unveiling a surprise induction. “Hit the music man… shock the world,” Rollins said. He added that Belichick deserves a moment fitting of his legacy as the most successful head coach in Super Bowl history.

“If they’re all there… you get them all on stage, one by one, announce them all, make it look like that’s it, we’re going off the air… put the bug up… and then bam! The last minute… hit the music! Shock the world and let him go out there and just bask in… he deserves it, he deserves that moment,” said Seth Rollins.

Rollins even pitched details for the reveal, including dramatic lighting, entrance music, and Belichick appearing in his trademark hoodie. Host Rich Eisen then asked if Belichick should be silhouetted for dramatic effect. The WWE star leaned further into the idea with his creative pitch.

“You could go full Undertaker style. You could… black the house right at the end… lights back on, there’s Belichick right in the center,” said Rollins.

Belichick’s omission from the 2026 class drew widespread reaction after ESPN reported he failed to receive the required 40 of 50 committee votes. The Hall of Fame’s eligibility rules changed in 2024. The rule change allowed coaches to qualify one year after leaving the league. Surprisingly, this was widely seen as a move tailored for Belichick.

While Rollins’ suggestion was clearly tongue-in-cheek, it underscored how surprising the snub felt across the sports world. Belichick remains eligible in future years, and expectations remain that his eventual induction is only a matter of time.
