Paul Heyman Has Been Trying To Set Up WWE WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia For Months

Paul Heyman is looking far ahead.

With less than two months to go, the build to WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas in heating up. According to WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, so should the planning for next year’s grand event, set for Saudi Arabia.

While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Heyman explained why he’s already thinking about WrestleMania 43, and moreover, pushing for WWE officials to do so as well.

“I have been, for the past eight months, jumping up and down with my hands flailing in the air saying, ‘What are we gonna do at Saudi Mania?’ Everybody’s very concerned with what we’re gonna do at Vegas Mania. I’ll tell you what – let’s book Saudi Mania, it’s gonna make booking Vegas Mania much easier,” Heyman said. “Not that Vegas Mania is the launching pad to Saudi Mania, but Vegas Mania is the launching pad to Saudi Mania, which is the launching pad to Mania 2028, which is the launching pad to Mania 2029.

“It progresses,” he continued. “It’s bigger tomorrow than it is today, bigger two days from now than it is tomorrow. Next year’s WrestleMania, by definition, has to be bigger than this year’s WrestleMania, and WrestleMania two years from now has to top whatever we do next year. So if we just have a concept of what we’re doing next year, oh my god, I can tell you what to do this year because it leads to next year.” (H/T to WrestleTalk for the transcription)

So far, only one full match is confirmed for WrestleMania 42, that being WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer defending her title against Women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan. WWE will determine the challengers for WWE Women’s and Undisputed WWE Championships at the upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE. As for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, reigning champion CM Punk must first get through Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber if he wants to meet Roman Reigns, the Men’s Royal Rumble winner, at “The Show of Shows.”

WrestleMania 43 will take WWE to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, making it the first WrestleMania event outside of North America.
