Cody Rhodes Was Kept Apart From Roman Reigns on Street Fighter Set: ‘It Was Awkward’

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are set to star in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, but Rhodes recently revealed the pair interacted very little while on set.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Rhodes revealed that he and Reigns’ relationship is “very strange,” and the crew on set of Street Fighter even thought the pair might actually fight at some point during production.

“We had one day on set, and the way the set was, and he could probably reiterate this,” Rhodes said. “I think they thought we were going to fight or have issues for real because they were very cognizant on the radios of us [and saying], ‘Stepping out with Guile, Akuma will be coming on.’ They were very cognizant that we would not cross paths. And we did, because I had to tell him the direction of one of the trailers, and that was our only moment, and it was very awkward.”

Rhodes said he’s unsure what to say of their relationship, who he shared a years-long feud with in the ring. While he does respect Reigns, the current reigning Undisputed WWE Champion said he’s never been a fan of talking about the pair.

“That’s a crazy relationship,” Rhodes said. “I have nothing but admiration for what he’s done and accomplished, but I don’t know what it is. I don’t even like talking about it because I don’t know what it is. It’s just a very strange relationship,” said Rhodes.
