Dennis Rodman will be recognized for his contributions to the pro wrestling world with a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
According to a report from ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania, Rodman is the newest member of the 2026 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
“Crossover: Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April, per ESPN sources,” Charania wrote on Twitter/X. “Rodman made his WCW debut in 1997 and famously skipped a practice during the 1998 NBA Finals for a wrestling match alongside Hulk Hogan. Two HOFs for Rodman.”
WWE has not publicly announced Rodman’s Hall of Fame induction (yet). However, the company did retweet Charania’s post, indicating that it’s confirmed.
UPDATE: WWE has officially confirmed Rodman’s Hall of Fame induction:
Dennis Rodman stepped into the ring for WCW for some high-profile matches
Dennis Rodman famously wrestled in three matches for WCW during his prime as a forward for the Chicago Bulls. Rodman made his in-ring debut at Bash At The Beach 1997. There, he teamed up with “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan to face off with Lex Luger and The Giant. A year later, he teamed with Hogan to face Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone at Bash at the Beach 1998. This match took place a month after Rodman’s Bulls and Malone’s Jazz met in the NBA Finals.
Rodman had one more match for WCW. This was a singles hardcore match loss to Randy Savage at WCW Road Wild 1999 in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Dennis Rodman, Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, and Demolition’s Ax & Smash are the confirmed inductees of the 2026 Hall of Fame.
Rodman was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. He is a 5-time NBA champion with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. He also won Defensive Player of the Year honors twice.
