Taryn Terrell has a really heartwarming reason for picking her favorite TNA match.
Terrell competed in TNA from 2012 to 2017, holding the company’s Knockouts Championship for a reign of 279 days. After a 2022 run with the NWA, Terrell confirmed her retirement from pro wrestling. However, that didn’t last, as she made her return to TNA last month, and will return to the ring at TNA Rebellion on April 11.
During a recent interview with Medd In The Morning, Terrell explained why her favorite match was her ladder match with Gail Kim, rather than the Last Woman Standing match the two had.
“When I went back through the curtain, there was a standing ovation, which was really cool. That meant a lot to me, because as somebody who also watches wrestling, to know that wrestlers were watching it and they approve is probably one of the coolest things, to have a peer say, ‘That was awesome.’ It was just really neat,” Terrell said.
Taryn Terrell found out after the fact that she was pregnant during the match
During the conversation, Terrell also shared that she was pregnant during the former, which she didn’t know at the time.
“It also turned out that I was pregnant during that match,” Terrell added. “I had no idea; it was very, very early on, before you would even know you were pregnant. So it’s not like I would have gone and wrestled while I was pregnant; it was just very, very early on, so I would have had no ability to know that I was pregnant at that moment. So, the really cool thing is that I always think about that, that my daughter was with me in that match. That probably sounds completely insane, but it was really cool, and a week later is when I found out that I was pregnant.”
Terrell said that her daughter is completely healthy and noted that she’s a theatre kid who loves to act and lives to perform.
“I guess that ladder match really set her up for that,” she joked.
