AJ Lee is not only a WWE superstar, but a big time WWE fan herself, and has been extremely invested in an ongoing feud.
In a recent post on social media, Lee quoted a video of Asuka sending a message to IYO SKY, her former longtime friend and partner. Lee noted that she’s been “fangirling” over Asuka, IYO, and Kairi Sane for some time, and is “unhealthily invested” in the trio’s drama.
In the video, Asuka recaps her and IYO’s relationship, and subsequent falling out. As IYO’s “senpai,” Asuka says that she will always be IYO’s mentor and better than her, and she will show her that in the ring. While it sounds like the two will be going at it in the ring at some point, as of now, it’s unclear whether or not Asuka or IYO SKY will be involved in the upcoming WrestleMania 42.
Recent rumors suggest that Asuka and IYO could be performing at the big premium live event. However, reports from Wrestling Observer’s newsletter notes that their match is “up in the air” as of now, and could potentially happen at Backlash instead.
