Shawn Michaels Confirms Rumor About WrestleMania 25 Match with The Undertaker

Shawn Michaels has confirmed a long-standing rumor about his match against The Undertaker at WWE WrestleMania 25.

During his recent conversation with Adrian Hernandez on Unlikely, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels confirmed that his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 went longer than it was supposed to go. He noted that the early stories about the match timings were accurate and admitted that he and the Deadman were offended by the promotion’s decision to offer them only 20-25 minutes for their clash.

“I believe it was more than 15. I want to say it was maybe 20 or 25. Regardless, we went considerably longer. It was sort of something that was the stories of it being much earlier, and the time being less; those were all accurate,” Shawn Michaels confirmed. “We were obviously a bit offended by it, and some of them got adjusted, but not the adjustment that we were kind of happy with, and we just went out there and did our thing from that point on.”

Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker competed for a little over 30 minutes at WrestleMania 25, and fans still hail that match as one of the greatest contests in WWE history. The two legends then followed it up with a similar performance the following year, when the Deadman defeated and retired HBK in a streak vs. career match in the main event of WrestleMania 26.
