WATCH: WWE Hall of Famer Stars In Night of the Living Dead Remake

A familiar face will star in a horror movie remake.

As revealed in the new trailer, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam stars in the 2026 film titled Night of the Living Dead, a remake of the 1968 zombie horror classic. In it, RVD, who plays a character named Harris, can seen hunting the group of zombies with a rifle. Whether he survives them all is unknown.

Christopher Ray, known for his work on Middle Man and several TV movies, serves as the director for Night of the Living Dead 2026. Tiki Terrors produced the project.

The movie’s description, per Indie Film Trailers Worldwide, is as follows:

“A remake of George Romero’s 1968 cult classic horror film, ‘NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD’ takes place during a worldwide event in which the dead rise and roam the earth as zombies. As civilisation collapses, a small group of survivors must fight to stay alive against the growing threat of the walking dead. Starring Vivica A. Fox, Brittany Underwood, Robert Carradine, Miko Hughes, Zack Ward, Rob Van Dam and Adam Huss, the film reworks one of horror cinema’s most influential titles for a new generation.”

2026’s Night of the Living Dead has yet to receive an official release date. RVD’s previous film projects include Sniper: Special Ops and Assault on VA-33, the latter of which was also directed by Ray.

WrestleZone will provide more information on his latest film project as it becomes available.
