Sol Ruca had a very important job at WrestleMania 39, even if you didn’t know she was ringside for a top match on the show.
Ruca made her WWE RAW debut this week, signing her contract before taking Becky Lynch out with her Sol Snatcher finisher. Ruca has been a key part of the NXT roster for the past few years, but she has appeared on the main roster before, although this role was under a mask.
During a recent appearance on The A Show on RNC RADIO, Sol confirmed she was the ‘Cinnamoji’ mascot at WrestleMania 39. Cinnamon Toast Crunch sponsored the match between Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the event, and the tie-in included Cinnamon Toast Crunch branding around the ring and a Cinnamoji mascot at ringside.
Ruca previously admitted she was in the costume, but some fans are still unaware it was her in the costume.
“I love that that resurfaces every once in a while,” Sol Ruca said. “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God, that was her?’ Like, I literally posted it on my Instagram, but it’s so funny that it still resurfaces.”
Sol Ruca shares how she got the Cinnamoji mascot role
“So I was out there previously, like a few days before, running the tryout and they needed someone who was a female around 5’9” and was in town to do that. And I fit those exact criteria, so they asked me if I wanted to do it and I was like, ‘Absolutely.’ I was pretty much hanging out in catering and backstage all day, going through rehearsals where I had the Cinnamoji costume on, walking down the ramp and stuff. It was such a crazy experience.
“But yeah, it was so crazy, being in that environment and being so close to the ring, seeing how many people were there and having a moment with Rey Mysterio. It was just so cool.”
