Rey Mysterio doesn’t often show his face, but in a recent post on social media, the WWE legend reflected back on a moment where he couldn’t wear his mask.
In a recent post on Facebook, Mysterio shared a series of photos of himself and his wife, Angie, to celebrate their 30th anniversary. In the post, Mysterio expressed love for his wife, and surprisingly shared a ton of photos of the two of them, all of which featured Mysterio without his mask on.
The photos chronicled a litany of time periods, all the way from their wedding through recent times, and Mysterio is unmasked in all of them.
It’s a rare look at the star’s face. Rey has been photographed more recently without his trademark look, but fans usually see him wearing his iconic lucha libre mask in public.
“We are not the perfect couple but 30 years married and 36 together has molded us to make a very blessed couple with lessons every day, sometimes good sometimes bad but in the end lessons and obstacles that in life present themselves and depends on one if you stagnate or you move forward, and with you I always move forward to the end with a beautiful family and a beautiful and eternal love you have to live it to understand it,” wrote Mysterio in the post (via Facebook’s translation).
“I love you my love for so many things but more for the man, husband and father I became the most, and also for holding me so.”
