A WWE star is reportedly set to be a major fixture on SmackDown.
The April 24 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Brie Bella and Paige take on Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. However, the match was cut short due to a run-in by Fatal Influence, comprising Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid.
Jacy Jayne would take on WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley later that night in an impromptu match. She defeated Charlotte Flair the following week on SmackDown. Last Friday, Fatal Influence picked up a huge win against Bliss, Flair, and Ripley.
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, positive fan reaction has prompted WWE to shift creative plans for Fatal Influence, with Jacy Jayne set to be featured “more prominently” on the blue brand.
“Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that creative plans surrounding the Fatal Influence group have already begun to shift due to the crowd reactions for the group. Several in the creative process have said that they have rearranged some plans in the women’s division to feature Jacy Jayne more prominently after the group’s strong performances.”
Jacy Jayne was part of Toxic Attraction alongside Mandy Rose and Gigi Dolin during the NXT 2.0 era. She would later form Fatal Influence, adding Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. Following Jazmyn’s departure, NXT replaced her with Lainey Reid.
Jayne is a former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, two-time NXT Women’s Champion, and one-time TNA Knockouts World Champion.
WrestleZone has live coverage of WWE SmackDown on Fridays.
