CM Punk Predicted Ronda Rousey’s Win Over Gina Carano In Perfect Detail

WWE‘s CM Punk perfectly predicted Ronda Rousey’s win over Gina Carano.

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was in attendance at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, this past Saturday for Ronda Rousey’s MMA return fight against Gina Carano. Boxer and influencer Jake Paul produced the bout through his Most Valuable Promotions, and it aired live on Netflix.

Ronda Rousey secured the victory via an armbar submission in 17 seconds in the first round. After the fight, she announced her second retirement from MMA to focus on her family. CM Punk predicted the outcome during a pre-fight interview and noted that Rousey would win with her signature sequence of marching forward, clinching, throwing, and armbarring.

“I would be remiss to not go with Ronda Rousey. I think she’s going to do what she always did. She’s going to march forward, she’s going to clinch, she’s going to throw, and she’s going to armbar. My opinion,” CM Punk said.

Punk also said hi to his wife, AJ Lee, during the interview and told her he’d be home in 20 minutes, predicting it would be a short fight.

CM Punk has been absent from WWE television since his promo segment with Cody Rhodes on RAW after WrestleMania 42. The promotion had advertised Punk for several episodes of RAW and live events on its upcoming European Summer Tour, but later removed him. Reports noted it was simply a schedule change.

He’s still officially advertised for the June 22 episode of RAW at the O2 in London. His next advertised appearance after the European Tour is on the July 6 episode of RAW in his hometown of Chicago.
