Kevin Nash Says WWE Star Who Took Massive Pay Cut Still Makes Huge Money

The conversation around WWE’s recent roster cut and pay cut is far from over. Now, Kevin Nash has added another interesting detail to the story.

Over the past few weeks, WWE and TKO Group Holdings have received criticism after reports claimed some wrestlers were asked to accept lower-paying contracts or risk losing their jobs. The situation escalated after WWE released several main roster and NXT talents following WrestleMania 42. Some of the biggest names are Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Kevin Nash says one WWE wrestler is still making big money despite a massive salary cut

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash revealed that he had heard details from people inside WWE about the contract situation. Nash said at least one well-known WWE star agreed to take the pay cut. Nevertheless, the wrestler was still making a lot of money afterward.

“I know the people that took 50 percent cuts. I know one of the guys, and when I found out what the person was making, and after I just picked myself up off the ground that he was making that much money, and then realized that even at 50 percent, he was making huge money,” Nash said.

Nash did not reveal the identity of the person. However, his comments will definitely trigger fans to speculate about which WWE star accepted the deal.

The financial changes have become one of WWE’s biggest backstage stories this year. After WrestleMania 42, WWE reportedly released close to 40 wrestlers from the main roster and NXT.

But according to backstage reports, only a small number of mid-level and upper-card wrestlers were asked to take major salary cuts. WWE’s biggest stars, including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk, were reportedly not affected.
