AEW Bringing Brawl in the Ballpark to MLB Stadium After Twins Game

AEW is teaming up with the Minnesota Twins this summer for a special crossover event called “Brawl in the Ballpark.” The show is set for July 10 at Target Field, right after the Twins face the Los Angeles Angels.

This will be the first time AEW and an MLB team have worked together on a postgame wrestling event. Fans attending the Twins vs. Angels game will also get access to the wrestling show afterward with the same ticket.

AEW’s ‘Brawl in the Ballpark’ event will take place after the Angels vs. Twins game on July 10

“Brawl in the Ballpark” will start shortly after the baseball game ends and is expected to last around 75 minutes. AEW will set up a wrestling ring near Gate 34 at Target Field. They aim to turn that part of the stadium into a wrestling venue once the game ends.

The event is expected to feature stars from both AEW and Ring of Honor. No matches have been announced yet, but many well-known wrestlers from both promotions are expected to appear.

The Twins promoted the event with a fun segment featuring Jeff Jarrett. In the video, Jarrett cut a classic wrestling promo on the baseball field before smashing someone with his trademark guitar shot.

Twins executive Sean Moore said the partnership is part of the team’s goal to create unique experiences for fans at the stadium.

“We’re excited to partner with AEW to bring a one-of-a-kind night to Target Field on July 10.This collaboration is part of our ongoing efforts to create, fan-first experiences that give people even more reasons to enjoy a visit to our ballpark,” Moore said.

AEW president Tony Khan also shared his excitement about the collaboration and what it could mean for AEW’s growing reach.

The event continues AEW’s push into crossover sports-entertainment partnerships. Wrestling companies have worked with sports teams before, but a full wrestling event inside an MLB stadium after a game is still pretty rare.
