An AEW star had to be helped backstage after suffering a nasty fall at Double or Nothing.
On the AEW Double or Nothing pre-show, a 10-man tag team match saw Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall join forces with The Conglomeration to face off against Shane Taylor Promotions. While the babyfaces picked up the victory after a 6:30-minute contest, Marshall appeared to have suffered an injury after a bad fall.
The final spot of the match featured a triple powerbomb spot near the corner. QT Marshall was standing on the top turnbuckle before the execution. However, the AEW star lost his balance and fell hard on the floor, appearing to have hurt his left knee. The others went ahead with the spot, and Big Boom AJ pinned Shawn Dean to score the win. The heels surrounded the ring after the match, but Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Mance Warner ran in to scare them off.
While he stood up immediately after the fall, fans spotted doctors attending to QT Marshall at ringside. He had to be helped backstage after the scare, and there’s no update on his condition and the seriousness of the damage. Fans hope it’s nothing serious, and AEW President Tony Khan might address it during the post-show media scrum.
