A top AEW star returned from injury at Double or Nothing.
The eighth annual AEW Double or Nothing PPV is currently underway at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. The second match on the main card featured the International Championship match between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita.
The two Don Callis Family members finally faced off after months of rising tension, and Callis himself was in commentary, supporting both of them. Konosuke Takeshita prevailed in the hard-hitting 19-minute contest, pinning Kazuchika Okada to become the new International Champion.
Post-match, Konosuke Takeshita had a staredown with Callis, Okada, Rocky Romero, and Mark Davis. However, Kyle Fletcher returned and stood beside the new champion. After making the other Don Callis Family members back off and celebrating with Takeshita, Fletcher shockingly turned against his friend and dropped him with a clothesline.
Fletcher hit Takeshita with the title belt while Davis and Romero held him up, officially kicking the Japanese star out of the Don Callis Family.
Kyle Fletcher suffered a meniscus injury during a tag team match against The Rascalz on the March 28, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite. Reports noted that, coupled with additional injuries, Fletcher would miss significant time from in-ring action. He had to relinquish the TNT Championship. However, he has returned within 60 days.
