Thekla made a huge statement tonight, sending a message to the AEW roster and Starlight Kid in the process.
At AEW’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Thekla and Starlight Kid competed for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Not only did Thekla win, but she also humiliated Starlight Kid in the process, cutting off her mask.
The match saw the AEW Women’s World Champion come out on top after hitting a massive spear followed by two stomps. After the match, Thekla then kept things going, and grabbed Starlight’s mask, cutting it off. After she took the mask, Thekla then spit in the mask, and went outside of the ring with it.
As she was taunting with the mask, she shocked fans even more by rubbing the mask in STARDOM President Taro Okada’s face, then hitting him with the mask a couple of times.
For Thekla, this was the seventh AEW Women’s title defense for the star. She’s held the belt since February, and seems to have no desire to stop holding it as of now.
