A quiet WWE storyline that has been slowly building for months may have officially turned into a possible romance angle after the May 25, 2026, episode of WWE RAW. Many fans now believe that WWE is planning a major character change for Maxxine Dupri involving Austin Theory and The Vision.
The story started with small backstage moments that were easy to miss. Over time, Theory began appearing more often around Maxxine.
After losing her championship and being betrayed by Natalya, Maxxine was shown backstage looking upset. At that time, Theory was shown comforting her in the background for the first time. Recently, when Theory and Logan Paul were shown leaving the arena together, Maxxine was seen already sitting in the car.
Meanwhile, Maxxine is still connected to Alpha Academy alongside Otis and Akira Tozawa. But week by week, she seems more distant from the group.

During a backstage segment on this week’s RAW, Adam Pearce escorted Theory out of the building as Theory caused chaos by attacking Joe Hendry and Angelo Dawkins with a steel chair.
When Pearce said he had “enough” of Theory’s antics, Theory tried defending his attacks by asking the general manager, “Wasn’t it enough what happened to Logan Paul? Wasn’t it enough what happened to Bronson Reed? Wasn’t it enough what happened to Bron Breakker?”
However, as he was walking away with Paul Heyman, Theory suddenly noticed Maxxine backstage. The two exchanged smiles and locked eyes for a while.
Otis immediately looked worried. “I don’t know, babe. Smells like bad news,” he told Maxxine.
But Maxxine defended Theory right away.
“No, he just has a lot going on. Cut him some slack. I’ll catch up with you guys later,” she said before walking away from Alpha Academy to join Theory.
The segment felt like a big moment because it strongly hinted that Maxxine could officially align herself with The Vision. Many fans also believe WWE is now teasing a full relationship storyline between her and Theory.
