Former WWE star Braun Strowman recently admitted that a recent wrestling match makes him think about returning to the ring. While he has been enjoying life away from wrestling, one highly praised match reminded him why he fell in love with the business in the first place.
Strowman revealed that he is open to wrestling again if the right offer comes along. He even names Oba Femi as a potential opponent. Strowman last wrestled for WWE in April 2025. His performer contract expires a few months later. Since then, he has stayed away from active competition.
Recently, though, a match caught his attention: The Mask vs. Mask Match between Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser. The bout served as the climax of a major WWE and AAA storyline.
Braun Strowman says WWE-AAA match made him consider a wrestling return
Speaking on SiriusXM Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7’s Off the Ropes with Jonathan Coachman and Mark Henry, Braun Strowman admitted the match leaves a lasting impression.
“You want to honestly know what happened recently? That AAA match between Gable and Ludwig made me feel. It made me remember why I love professional wrestling, and it made me go, I can go. There’s no doubt in my mind. I can go. I’ll take my shirt off right now and I’ll show you. I look better than anybody on that damn roster or any three-letter brand roster.”
He explained that much of his recent focus has been on recovering from injuries. Even so, he still misses being around wrestling.
“I’ve been focusing on these nerve injuries and all this other stuff. The reality of it is, I miss being in the ring. I miss being in the locker room. I don’t miss the rest of the bullshit that comes along with it.”
When asked whether he would return if Triple H or Tony Khan called, Strowman doesn’t completely shut the door on either company.
“A number with enough zeros behind it, my schedule would open up.”
