As the show kicks off, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes arrives. Rhodes runs into GM Nick Aldis and asks if Aldis knows what Gunther‘s stipulation is. Aldis notes that he doesn’t know. The Usos walk in. Jey Uso tells Rhodes he’s going to win the KOR and challenge Rhodes for the title. Rhodes says he’s happy to face Jey, but hopes it’s Jey’s decision, not Roman Reigns‘.

QOTR First-Round Match | Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill

Everyone attacks Cargill. Cargill tosses everyone around the ring. Flair and Cargill face off and trade chops. Michin and B-Fab get involved, which leads to Alexa Bliss running down to make the save. Michin and B-Fab beat up Bliss. Tiffany Stratton makes the save, and they fight off. After a break and a lot of back and forth, Cargil tosses Valkyria over the top. Ruca drops Cargill with a Sol Snatcher out of nowhere. Valkyria breaks up the pin. Everyone lands a big move. Flair makes Valkyria tap to the Figure Eight.

Winner- Charlotte Flair

Grade: C+

This one was missing something from the start. The action was interesting, but there was very little heat. Flair winning seemed predestined from the start, so it was hard to care much about this one.

Backstage, R-Truth runs into Finn Bálor. Truth welcomes Bálor to SmackDown and to the new Judgment Day. Truth does Truth things, until Damian Priest walks in and has the nicest tensest exchange with Bálor.

Paige and Brie Bella vs. Fatal Influence

Paige and Brie start hot. Reid and Henley take control after interference from Jacy Jayne. After the break, Jayne gets ejected from ringside. While Jayne argues with the referee, Reid rolls up Paige. Brie pushes the pile so Paige is on top and rolls out. The referee counts the three.

Winners- Paige and Brie Bella

Grade: C

Who are the heels here? Make it make sense.

The Last Real Good Guy

Sami Zayn dumps on the crowd for not being as lively as the crowd during the European tour last week. Zayn rants about his ride-or-die fans. Zayn wants to clear the air with Cody Rhodes. Rhodes joins Zayn in the ring. Rhodes asks Zayn what he wants to talk about. Zayn gets annoyed and asks Rhodes not to do that, just to be Cody for a second. Zayn goes on and on about his feelings about paying the price for helping Rhodes.

Rhodes quips that this is all par for the course for professional wrestling. Rhodes gets tired of Zayn’s crap and tells him that the reason the crowd is booing Zayn is that this version of Zayn sucks. Cody Rhodes adds that he is sorry; He’s sorry that he’s the WWE Champion, and that means Zayn never will be. Zayn slaps Rhodes. Zayn tries to apologize. Rhodes slaps Zayn and screams, ” Are they good?” Zayn leaves the ring and grabs a chair. Zayn stops on the apron, tosses the chair, and walks away.

Grade: B

Cinema, ladies and gentlemen. Cinema!

AAA Cruiserweight Championship Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Axiom

After a fast-paced contest, Fenix lands a spin kick in the corner, followed by a Mexican Muscle Buster for the win.

Winner and STILL AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix!

Grade: B-

Fun match that could have used more time. With all the talent across brands, having Fenix carry this title and defend it everywhere is a great idea.

Backstage, Solo Sikoa tells Royce Keys that the Bloodline is here and they will get involved in his KOTR qualifier match later tonight. Key glares at Sikoa. Sikoa tells Keys that Jacob Fatu is here, and he needs to watch his back.

Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton vs. B-Fab and Michin

Michin and B-Fab control the match early. Before Green can tag out, Jade Cargill appears and pulls Stratton off the apron. Michin hits a Styles Clash on Green for the win.

Winners- B-Fab and Michin

Stratton and Cargill brawl. B-Fab and Michin attack Stratton. Cargill lays Stratton out with Jaded.

Grade: C+

Standard stuff here. Cargill feuding with Stratton isn’t exactly the most interesting prospect, but hey, let’s see how it goes.

KOTR first-round match | Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Royce Keys vs. Finn Balor

After a ton of back and forth, Royce lands a spinebuster. Jey breaks up Royce’s pin with a Uso Splash. Jey pins Knight.

Winner- Jey Uso
