Oba Femi Seals King of the Ring Final Spot and Taunts Brock Lesnar in the Aftermath

Oba Femi moved one step closer to becoming King of the Ring on the June 15 episode of WWE RAW. The Ruler defeated Dominik Mysterio in the semifinals and then sent a bold message to the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.

With a SummerSlam title opportunity waiting for the tournament winner, the pressure was on. Once again, Femi showed why he is one of WWE’s most dominant stars. He overcame Dominik’s constant cheating attempts and secured his spot in the 2026 King of the Ring Finals.

Oba Femi declares himself the future beast slayer

Femi first defeated Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, and Penta before. On the other side, Mysterio defeated Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams with the help of The Judgment Day members.

This week on RAW, Mysterio did everything he could to avoid a straight fight.

As soon as the match started, he rolled out of the ring and kept backing away whenever Femi got close. The crowd let him hear it, chanting, “Oba…Oba.” Mysterio relied on stalling tactics and mind games, trying to frustrate The Ruler. But Femi stayed patient.

The turning point came when Mysterio attempted a plancha to the outside. Femi caught him and then launched him over the announce table. Things got a bit messier when JD McDonagh entered the fray. While Femi was distracted, Mysterio grabbed the timekeeper’s hammer and hid it inside his boot.

Back in the ring, he finally found an opening while McDonagh was distracting from outside. He hit Femi with a low blow and followed it up with two loaded 619s using the hidden weapon. He then connected with a Frog Splash from the top rope.

It still wasn’t enough.

Femi kicked out before the referee could even count to two. Realizing Mysterio couldn’t beat him alone, JD McDonagh stepped into the match. That decision didn’t go well for The Judgment Day star.

Femi grabbed both Mysterio and McDonagh and planted them with a double chokeslam. He then charged with his signature corner-to-corner uppercuts to both Mysterio and McDonagh. Soon after, Femi tossed Mysterio and hit Fall From Grace and pinned him to officially advance to the King of the Ring Finals.

After the match, Femi picked up a microphone and called out Brock Lesnar.

Femi admitted that he once was the man who admired Lesnar. But now, with Lesnar missing from the picture, he doubts if Lesnar is “even a man.” He questioned if Lesnar’s legacy would become that of a man who kept avoiding him.

Femi then made it clear how he wants to be remembered.

He called himself “The Ruler,” “The Destroyer,” “The Bringer of War,” and “the mountain you cannot climb.” He also promised to become the “Beast Slayer” and to be crowned King of the Ring, while Lesnar would be remembered as someone who ran from Oba Femi.
