WWE’s Sol Ruca Locks X Account After Backlash Over Liv Morgan Injury Scare

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca has made her X account private after receiving backlash from fans following an injury scare involving Liv Morgan at a recent WWE live event.

The incident happened during WWE’s show in Birmingham, England. Morgan defended her Women’s World Championship in a Fatal Four-Way Match against Iyo Sky, Lyra Valkyria, and Sol Ruca.

The spot happened when Ruca attempted a springboard crossbody on Morgan from the ringpost. It looked like the timing between both wrestlers was off. Morgan didn’t get into the right position, and Ruca’s move did not go smoothly.

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion appeared to come down directly on Morgan’s right leg and knee. Morgan started holding her leg in pain. After kicking out of a pin attempt, Morgan stayed on the mat holding her knee, which led many fans to worry she might have suffered an injury.

Despite the injury scare, Morgan finished the match and retained the Women’s World Championship. Still, videos of Ruca’s awkward landing went viral, and some fans began criticizing Ruca on social media.

Social media reaction leads to Sol Ruca going private on X

While many defended Sol Ruca and pointed out that accidents happen in wrestling, others blamed her for the landing and called it a botch from her side.

Not long after the discussion gained traction, fans noticed the Women’s Intercontinental Champion made her X account private and removed her profile picture, replacing it with a black image. Many fans believe she made the changes to avoid the growing negativity surrounding the incident.

The move sparked intense discussion online, with many supporters defending Ruca and arguing that wrestlers should not be harassed over mistakes that can happen during live matches.

However, this is not the first time Ruca has faced criticism after an in-ring mistake. Earlier, fans reacted strongly after a botched Sol Snatcher on Becky Lynch on RAW. After that, Ruca revealed that WWE CCO Triple H had told her it is often best to stay away from social media when controversy starts to rear its ugly head.
