WWE Raw Results:

As the show kicks off, Sami Zayn arrives backstage. Zayn is still celebrating and all smiles untill he runs into Cody Rhodes. Zayn tells Rhodes he’s going to walk out of Raw the champion. Rhodes tells Zayn good luck. Guther attacks Rhodes and puts him through a table. Zayn back in and Gunther gets in his face and says he’s going to come Zayn. Gunther pauses to kick a car door into Rhodes’ head. Rhodes is bleeding from the side of his head.

Grade: B

Well then… Heck of a way to kick off the show. That escalated QUICKLY.

The Visionary…

The crowd showers Seth Rollins with “CM Punk” chants. Rollins tells the fans to get it out of their system. He doesn’t care about that guy right now. Rollins’ business is the World Heavyweight Championship, SummerSlam, and always owning Roman Reigns. Rollins notes all the ways Reigns was protected his entire career and is never here. In fact, Reigns isn’t here tonight because the check wasn’t big enough. It’s always about Reigns, and it never sat right with Rollins. Rollins goes on and on about his dream of being a wrestler and how the machine being behind Reigns was somehow a slight to him or some such nonsense. Watching his dream getting handed to someone else broke something in Rollins.

Every decision Rollins made was driven by Rollins’ jealousy of Reigns. It was always about staying close to Reigns. Reigns has to beat Rollins to prove he isn’t a fraud. Rollins says he has to beat Reigns at SummerSlam just as much; he has to prove that hard work you can achieve your dreams and greatness. LA Knight interrupts. Knight says both Rollins and Reigns came out here and bored everyone with the same old trash. All Rollins had to do was talk about how great Reigns was, and he got a title shot. There was a time when you had to win something to get a title shot. Knight reminds everyone that Rollins lost in the first round of the King of the Ring.

In the End

Knight is on FIRE here tonight, as he continues by mocking Rollins and Reigns. As the crowd cheers, Knight notes that every time he gets hot, he either gets cut off at the knees by Rollins or Reigns. Rollins tells Knight that he doesn’t like him, but he respects him. Rollins says Knight is everything Rollins just talked about. Knight’s time will come, but Rollins can’t worry about Knight. When Rollins gets his title back, Knight can be the first person Rollins puts in the dirt. Jimmy Uso appears and superkicks Knight.

Grade: C+

Ok, Rollins, it’s not about the money. Hopefully, no one dies from the fire this writer just started by rolling my eyes hard enough to cause combustion. Rollins promos are usually decent, but at this point, he’s just repeating himself. It’s old, it’s tired, and LA Knight was 100% right.

World Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits (c) vs. The Vision
