Former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch shared a personal parenting story recently. She credited Stephanie McMahon for inspiring her approach.
Lynch welcomed daughter Roux back in December 2020. Many wrestlers take extended breaks after becoming parents. Lynch instead brought her daughter on the road. She said Stephanie McMahon’s example helped shape that decision.
WWE star Becky Lynch says Stephanie McMahon inspired her decision
Speaking on the Happy Mum podcast, Becky Lynch said she believed everything would eventually work out. She decided to travel with her daughter during WWE events. “I figured that it would all just work out. We’d figure it out and I’d just take her. I would just take her everywhere we went.”
She then explained why she felt confident doing it. “I’m not the first person to do this because Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, she had three kids and I think she was the originator of taking the kids on the road with her. Obviously, she wasn’t on all of the life events like I was so they weren’t making every single show but she had done it. I had never seen it firsthand, I knew that she did. So, you know, if she could do it, maybe I could do it.”
Becky Lynch has balanced WWE and motherhood since returning. She still travels while raising daughter Roux with Seth Rollins. Lynch also stepped away from WWE during mid-2024. Her contract expired while she stayed home with Roux. She returned to WWE in January 2025 after the break.
