John Cena Set to Face Olympic Gold Medalist at Fanatics Fest — Report

John Cena may be retired from wrestling, but he is not done with WWE. A new report says the 17-time World Champion is expected to play a part in one of the biggest attractions at this weekend’s Fanatics Fest, along with Olympic Gold Medalist Noah Lyles.

The event takes place at the Javits Center and features stars from wrestling, football, basketball, baseball, and other sports. One of the biggest highlights is the Fanatics Games. Athletes, celebrities, creators, and fans compete in different challenges for a huge prize pool.

John Cena and Noah Lyles expected to compete at Fanatics Games

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Cena is expected to face Noah Lyles in the featured WWE matchup at the Fanatics Games.

However, fans shouldn’t expect a regular WWE match.

Instead, Cena and Lyles are expected to compete in an athletic challenge that emerge as part of the Fanatics Games. These events test things like strength, speed, endurance, and agility instead of wrestling skills.

Lyles is one of the fastest athletes in the world. As an Olympic gold medalist, he brings a lot of weight to the competition.

Cena, on the other hand, is known for his strength and fitness after spending years as one of WWE’s top stars. Even though he has retired from wrestling, he has stayed in great shape.

The report also says Rhea Ripley was originally scheduled to compete against former NFL star Rob Gronkowski. Those plans changed after Ripley recently suffered an injury. However, she is still expected to attend fan meet-and-greets, autograph sessions, and other scheduled appearances.

Fanatics Games has become one of the biggest parts of Fanatics Fest by bringing together athletes and celebrities to compete for major prizes.

The event is described as:

“Fanatics Games is back for year two – bringing together elite athletes, celebrities, creators, and a select group of fans for the ultimate showdown across eight epic sports challenges. $2 Million in prizes. $1 Million Cash Grand Prize. One true GOAT – only at Fanatics Fest.”
