Randy Orton is the new United States Champion after he defeated Bobby Roode at WWE Fastlane.
Orton won the match after catching Roode with a RKO (outta nowhere) off of the ropes; this marks Orton’s first United States Championship reign. Bobby Roode’s first title reign ends at 54 days.

With his win, Orton becomes the tenth WWE Grand Slam Champion under the current format (WWE or Universal Championship, Tag Team Championship, Intercontinental AND United States Championship):
- WWE Championship – October 7, 2007
- Smackdown Tag Team Championship – December 4, 2016
- Intercontinental Championship – December 14, 2003
- United States Championship – March 11, 2018
Additionally, Orton has also won the Royal Rumble (2009, 2017) and Money In The Bank (2013), meaning he would be a King Of The Ring win away (if the event was active) from a ‘full house’ — earning every WWE accolade he is currently eligible for.
