Jeff Jarrett And His Friends Have Created Some Magical Moments In AEW

WrestleZone recently spoke with Jeff Jarrett, who was asked to pick his favorite match he’s been part of in AEW in 2023. Jarrett says no one could have predicted the run that he’s been on this year, but he’s having the time of his life now.

“Nobody had this on their bingo card. But when you take a step back and you look at — I call it the group [dynamic]; me, Sonjay Dutt, our real life long-standing friendship, business and personal. Jay Lethal, me and him go back to the early earliest days of TNA. Obviously, Karen, my wife. And then Satnam Singh,” Jarrett explained, “when you put us together as a group on paper, it may not look like — that’s kind of an odd pairing. But I think the sum total of our group has really created some magical moments.

“Our multiple matches with The Acclaimed. My singles match against Orange Cassidy. Our feud with FTR. Just this last week on Dynamite 200. I’ll just say this — on Dynamite one, or 100, or maybe even 150,” Jarrett noted, “I don’t think anybody would have said, ‘Hey, Jeff is going to be taken on Kenny Omega in a six-man tag.’ Nobody would have put that on paper. But in so many ways. It’s clicking.

“I’m having the time of my life and things are getting better and better. And again, I feel very grateful for the opportunity that I’m having and I wake up every day,” he said. “Whether it’s here to talk about WrestleQuest or AEW or a little bit of both. It’s something I feel really grateful to be doing and to be a part of the industry like I am at this stage of my career. Very, very thankful.”
