Vinny Pacifico On Growing His Character (& Fanbase) Through G Fuel Sponsorship

Vinny Pacifico embraces his role as The Energy Drink King.

Vinny Pacifico isn’t just a professional wrestler, he’s also the Energy Drink King. Paired with his sponsorship with G Fuel, Pacifico has interwoven the worlds of professional wrestling and energy drinks to create some entertaining promo footage. WrestleZone recently spoke with Vinny Pacifico, who discussed one of his recent videos alongside NWA star Rolando Perez (Freeman), which saw the two hip-swiveling while drinking some G Fuel.

“That one was so easy, actually. Very rarely, I mean, it’s been more often than not lately, but he had the idea of doing that type of promo of what we did. So yeah, it’s cool to see people getting invested and being like, ‘Damn, I want to do this with you.’ And they asked me to do it or they have their own idea ready for me and I don’t gotta think about it. They just have a good idea and we’ll go with it. But a lot of the time it’s not even talked about, we just go on the fly,” Pacifico said.

Promo Collaborations

Outside of Rolando Perez, Pacifico has also filmed content with the likes of EC3, Shazza McKenzie, Matt Sydal, Darius Carter, Sonny Kiss, and wrestling legend Gangrel. In addition to taping a promo video, Pacifico also mentioned that Gangrel had provided him with some helpful insight about setting himself up with a sponsorship deal.

“He’s actually giving me a lot of advice regarding this energy drink stuff,” Pacifico said. “And he’s one of the people who has told me, before Bang, before G Fuel he said to me, ‘Get a company to sponsor you.’ At the time, that was something I had in my mind, but not something that I really tried for. And then January, I believe it was January 7th or 8th, I had a match in Oregon, did a dope spot, and then out of nowhere I get hit up by Bang three days later on an email. So it’s crazy, but he’s always supportive of that and always really pushing me and always down to do these promos with me.”

Growth

Pacifico continued on, diving deeper into his sponsored content.

“Some people get it, and some people just like, ‘Oh, what do you mean by that?’ For me, it’s just content to grow my character, get people out there. There’s some people that did them with that weren’t really known as much, newer people. And after that, they said, ‘Hey, Vinnie, I gained like 20 followers from it.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s awesome.’ So if I can help people out doing that and getting eyes on them for that, it’s great.”

“Ever since G Fuel’s been sharing them as well, it has been a lot of engagement with that. The G Fuel fans will make funny memes of me and stuff. It’s really, really cool. So I’ve done really cool ones lately,” Pacifico said. “What was one of them I did recently that I really liked? Matt Branigan is one of them. Jaden Newman. Cheeseburger. Rhett Titus, a lot of people and they’re all really fun. They’re like one-minute, easy things to do, and I just love doing them.”

“Again, I think that it’s helped me a lot in growing my character and growing my fan base, and growing my name as well as just things I’m able to post. Listen, a lot of wrestling is social media. So that’s something Effy, I did two [videos] of Effy. Effy is somebody who always told me social media is everything, and that’s true. It really is. You got to put a lot into your wrestling ability and be a good wrestler, but having a good social media following, having a good social media content to post and taking care of that aspect of wrestling is very important.”
