Alex Kane Says Snisky Kept Ribbing Him During MLW Match, He Can’t Wait To Work Together Again

Alex Kane looks back on his match with Snisky.

Earlier this year, Alex Kane had the opportunity to work with 26-year veteran Snisky (known to WWE fans as Gene Snitsky) on an episode of MLW Fusion. Kane, the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about the respective match, noting his hopes to tangle up with Snisky again in the future.

“On a professional side, it was really, really cool, like getting to talk to him, getting to pick his brain a little bit.” Kane said. “He’s really, really cool. Like in the match itself, he kept ribbing me. And I didn’t know he was ribbing me until afterward, which I guess that’s why that works so well. But he keeps saying sh*t, and I’m like, ‘Bro, chill. I’m trying to put on a good performance here.’ But no, he’s really, really easy to work with. He was there to do business and we had a good time. I can’t wait to do it again.”

While Snisky may have been the veteran in this instance, Kane says the former WWE star encouraged him to trade ideas ahead of their match — a gesture that Kane deeply appreciates.

“The thing I appreciate about him the most is that he’s open to new information. Because my generation of wrestlers doesn’t wrestle anything like he does or doesn’t wrestle exactly like he does. But I presented a few new ideas, a few new transitions to get into things, or whatever, and he was like, ‘Yeah, I like that. That’s cool.'”
