Mercedes Moné Tops PWI 250
It’s been a busy week for AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. On Tuesday, Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed Moné as the top woman on the 2025 Women’s 250 list, which annually honors the best women’s wrestlers.
During this evaluation period (October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025), Moné captured several titles, including the CMLL World Women’s Championship, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, and EWA Women’s Championship. She also continued reigns with her AEW TBS and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championships, though she dropped the latter to AZM in May. Nevertheless, Moné’s stock climbed even higher as she added more and more titles to her collection, so much so that fans now know her as “12 Belts Moné.”
Right behind Moné on the 2025 PWI Women’s 250 is “Timeless” Toni Storm, who spent seven months as AEW Women’s Champion this year. Amidst her reign, Storm bested the likes of Athena (#7), Megan Bayne, Mina Shirakawa, Mariah May, and Moné.
Saya Kamitani secured the third spot on the prestigious list with reigns as World of Stardom Champion and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. Former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton follows her in fourth, while current WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer emerged at number five.
Rounding out the top ten is a trio of former WWE Women’s World Champions — IYO SKY (#6), Naomi (#9) and Rhea Ripley (#10). The Forever ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena, remains near the top as well with the 7th spot on the list. Sareee (#8) trails right behind “The Fallen Goddess” after picking up a number of titles in the evaluation period, including the Marigold World and IWGP Women’s Championship.

AEW Holds First-Ever Women’s Blood & Guts
Following their PWI Women’s 250 celebration, Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm pivoted to more grueling matters as they each competed in the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match on AEW Dynamite.
Backing Moné were powerhouses like Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir. The Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Thekla, and Skye Blue) joined the team as well, with Blue busted open early on by Willow Nightingale. Storm and Nightingale stood across from them alongside Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa, and AEW Women’s Champion Kris Statlander.
46 chaotic and bloody minutes later, Storm found herself held back by the entire Triangle of Madness as she helplessly watched Shirakawa receive repeated title belt lashes from Megan Bayne, while Shafir trapped her inside the Mother’s Milk hold. Statlander, Cameron, and Hayter remained on the outside after being thrown out of the caged structure by Moné.
Not wanting to see Shirakawa be beaten any further, Storm eventually surrendered, giving Moné’s team the milestone victory. Blue, despite being covered in blood, is said to be “okay” following Blood and Guts.

New WWE ID Champ To Be Crowned
Kylie Rae relinquished the WWE ID Women’s Championship due to pregnancy, and WWE must now crown a new champion. To do so, the company has partnered with Wrestling Open in Rhode Island, which will host a six-way elimination match, with the winner earning both the WWE ID Women’s Championship and a WWE ID contract.
Five of the six competitors were confirmed earlier this week:
- Brittnie Brooks
- Tiara James
- Notorious Mimi (formerly known as Sloane Jacobs in WWE NXT)
- Shannon LeVangie
- Airica Demia
To determine the final participant in the title match, a one-fall match featuring six of the indies’ brightest stars will kick off the Wrestling Open event, slated for November 17 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Featured in this match are Laynie Luck, Jordan Blade, Angelica Risk, Kaitlyn Marie, Lili Ruiz, and Niki XS. The winner will move on to the six-way elimination match for the vacant WWE ID Women’s Championship, slotted for the main event of the show.
Kylie Rae became the inaugural WWE ID Women’s Champion by defeating Zara Zakher and Zayda Steel in August. All three have since left the WWE ID program, with Steel reportedly gaining interest from All Elite Wrestling.
