Ring Of Honor is another promotion that unsurprisingly offered Ospreay a contract. However, you might be interested in knowing his reasons for it falling through. While he was supposed to sign, he admitted on Talk is Jericho that he hates the travel that pro wrestlers have to deal with.
Now, you might be wondering why he’s still signed to NJPW given how far he has to travel. Ospreay said that while he doesn’t mind the occasional tour to Japan, he doesn’t really like traveling on the road, particularly in the United States. Signing with ROH would have meant that he had to travel day-in-day-out on the road. He’s cited loneliness as one of the reasons, saying that hotels often feel like prison cells to him.
