Finn Balor’s run in NXT may have been one of, if not the single most entertaining periods in NXT history. If you missed Balor’s run at the top in NXT, we really recommend you watch it on the WWE Network, because the string of matches that he had at Takeovers was nothing short of extraordinary.
Balor came in with a lot of buzz from New Japan Pro Wrestling and was one of the very first “hottest free agent” signings that WWE made, along with Hideo Itami. He would reign supreme as NXT Champion, setting a then-record title reign of 292 days on the top. He would even bring his demon persona into Takeovers, which only further increased his mystique.
