#4.) The Shield is done…for good

There has been a lot of speculation as to whether Dean Ambrose leaving WWE is a work or not. Many believed that with WWE acknowledging Dean Ambrose‘s departure on TV, he’s more likely to sign. Naturally, The Shield’s reunion at Fastlane was advertised as “one last time”, and there was a sense of nostalgia in the match, where they went back to a lot of throwback spots and showed mannerisms like The Shield of old, even though they aren’t the same competitors that they were then.

After The Shield finished their match, they embraced, and it was at that moment that you knew that it was for real. It was the last stand for The Hounds of Justice, and they went out with a bang. Ambrose seems confirmed to be leaving at this point, but even if he doesn’t, it’s better that they leave The Shield as a thing of the past.

With Seth Rollins set to have the biggest year of his career, it’s time to move on.
