All Elite Wrestling’s weekly episodic television show is all set to begin on October 2nd and TNT will be its home. It’s certainly exciting to think of the possibilities of their show and how they plan to present it differently as compared to other promotions. Naturally, they will try to do as much as they possibly can to avoid comparisons to WWE and otherwise, but there are undoubtedly a few things they will take from their book.

The idea of General Managers and Authority Figures have been around for a long time, but there’s no denying that it is WWE that popularized the concept. Unfortunately, the issue that they’ve come across over the years is that they’ve overexposed the authority figures on the show to such an extent that even the idea of having one seems tiring at times.

The purpose of an authority figure or General Manager is that they’re simply a prop to further storylines between two or more other superstars.
